Choosing an organisational form and legal structure can be confusing which is why we are running this free workshop on Tuesday 12 June, 2-5pm in Brighton.
The first half will cover general issues of ownership, power and decision-making, led by Andrea Jones and Peter Clarke from Brighton & Hove Community Land Trust. They will draw on Andrea’s PhD research data and the experiences of local groups.
The second half of the workshop will be led by Laura Moss from Wrigleys Solicitors and will cover the more technical and legal implications and options.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions.
We have limited places available. Please email email@example.com as soon as possible to find out more and sign up.
The workshop is free, but we require participants to become BHCLT members (fee £1). Join here: bhclt.org.uk/membership
The workshop room is accessible by lift and there is an accessible toilet on same floor; the room has mostly natural light with some strip lighting. If anyone requires a BSL interpreter to enable them to participate, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to hire one. Also if anyone requires large print handouts of the slides so they can follow during the presentation, we will do our best to get them from the speakers.
Our groups guide has a range of resources to help with community-led housing projects. You can download it here.
